Speech & Language Therapist in Hampshire, West Sussex and Surrey

helenc I qualified as a speech and language therapist in 2003 and have 10 years’ experience of working for the NHS, offering assessment and treatment for children aged 2-11 years with a variety of communication difficulties. I have worked in a range of settings including clinics, special schools, nurseries and mainstream schools. I am now working independently offering a flexible service to individual families or schools. I have particular interest in the areas of language delay/disorder and phonological (speech) delay/disorder.

I live in Liphook, Hampshire, and work around the Surrey/Hampshire/West Sussex borders. The area covered includes Alton, Farnham, Waterlooville, Petersfield, Petworth and the surrounding area. I offer appointments in your own home or your child’s school.

Qualifications

I have a degree in Human Communication Studies (Speech and Language Therapy) which I completed in 2003. I am a member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists, the Association of Speech and Language Therapists in Private Practise and the Health Professionals Council.

Training

I keep up-to-date with training and professional development and am trained in a variety of specific approaches, such as Makaton and Paget-Gorman (signing systems), Derbyshire Language Scheme, Nuffield Dyspraxia Programme and PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System).
